It's ok if you're just starting out with a new product and trying to figure out who to market to. Before you push out marketing material or ads, you need to make sure you know who would buy your product/services and build your campaigns and messaging around them so it resonates. By asking the right questions and choosing a broader sample of consumers, based on the demographic data you collect, how certain people react to your product, you can put together the identifying behaviors and data of your target audience.
Questions you could ask:
"Is this a product you would purchase for yourself or others, why or why not?"
"What are your first impressions of this product?"
"For products like this, are you brand loyal or would you purchase another brand if it meant it was a better option? What would it take for you to switch?"
