What is a Multi Select poll?

Multi Select polls let respondents choose more than one option from a list of 3 to 8 choices. This is ideal when you want to explore combinations or understand the relative appeal of multiple ideas.

Unlike Ranked polls, this format is faster for respondents and gives you insights into both the most selected individual option and common groupings of selections.

How to use it

  1. In the poll builder, click on the question type dropdown.

  2. Under Comparison, select Multi Select.

  3. Add 3 to 8 options.

  4. Finish building and launch your poll.

  5. Respondents will select as many options as they like.

  6. Each respondent will also leave a written comment explaining their selection.

Example use cases

  • Testing feature bundles for a new product

  • Exploring which benefits to highlight in an ad

  • Seeing which color combinations or flavor pairings work best

  • Asking which titles for a YouTube video are most clickable

Why it’s useful

Multi Select polls reveal patterns in decision-making you can’t get from single-selection formats. You can:

  • See which options consistently appear together

  • Spot potential bundles or themes that resonate

  • Understand how ideas compete or complement one another

Like all PickFu poll types, Multi Select polls give you both quantitative and qualitative insights to help you make smarter, well-rounded decisions fast.
